Meet Jinan
Born in Jordan to a Lebanese mother and Palestinian father, and raised in the vibrant cultural landscape of Lebanon, Jinan Jabagi is an award-winning artist whose work is deeply rooted in her multicultural heritage. She earned her BA in Textile Design and Fashion from West Surrey College of Art and Design in London, England. Now based in Canada, Jinan brings a global perspective to her creative practice, blending Middle Eastern and European influences across a range of mediums.
Jinan began her artistic journey at a young age and was recognized early on with the title of Best Young Artist in Lebanon. Over the years, she has received numerous accolades, including several Best in Show awards—most notably at the Aramco Art Fair. Her work has been featured in SilkWorm magazine and continues to draw admiration for its detail, elegance, and cultural resonance.
A versatile and exploratory artist, Jinan works across multiple mediums, including coloured pencil drawings, watercolour, silk painting, and oil-based painting on tile and glass. Her silk paintings are noted for their delicate beauty and cross-cultural motifs, offering a visual language that speaks to memory, identity, and belonging.
She is also a skilled lace maker and shares her knowledge through teaching silk painting and lace-making workshops.
